Interesting read for baby boomers. Great story showing the way things have changed so much for women. Also has history from the 1920's to 2000. Interesting to be reminded of the advances made in medicine especially. Shows how fortunate we are to be born just when so many advances were being made (polio vaccine, birth control, ideas about AIDS and cancer.) Also shows how thinking has changed only over the past 60 years or so regarding women and their places in the world. A very good story about a family and its generations of women during the 20th century.
