Finding Dory is an amazing movie that combines comedy and adventure, allowing it to fall under the list of family movies. It consists of the same characters from Finding Nemo, however, this time, the focus is on Dory and her personal journey; Dory, a blue tang fish, is on the search for her parents. Due to her short-term memory loss, she is unable to remember many details, including information from her past. In order to support her, Marlin and Nemo swim along with her, in an attempt to help her recollect any possible memories by visiting certain areas. Personally, I admire Dory’s determination in finding her family; despite her issues with memory loss, she tries her best to acquire clues regarding the whereabouts of her parents, which displays her motivation and power to overcome her personal issues and fears. The overall storyline of the film is both emotional and inspiring, one that is definitely worth watching. 5/5 stars @roselilly04 of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board I enjoyed Finding Dory. I thought that it was a great spin to the Finding Nemo films, and loved learning more about Dory and her past. She is such a likeable character, and one that audiences can’t help but fall in love with. Furthermore, the animations in this film were fantastic, and very engaging. All of the characters were unique and likeable, and they all made this film very memorable. The storyline was creative, and different from other Disney films. It kept the audience entertained, and eager to watch. I would definitely recommend this movie to other viewers, as it is funny, adventurous, and very entertaining! 4/5 @PenelopeScriptor of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board To start off, I didn’t like this movie as much as others did. I think this is overrated, like any second movie of any series. This movie is cute, but just seemed so slow and it really wasn’t that interesting to me. I appreciate the effort of trying to give a background story of a somewhat major character from Finding Nemo. This answers a lot of questions viewers had about Dory. This is a good movie for younger audiences since it is appropriate for them to watch. The movie has lively 3D animation and lots of vibrant colours that keeps children engaged and interested from start to finish. I guess I’m just a little too old for childish movies like this to enjoy them like I used to. Finding Dory gets a 3 out of 5 stars from me. @SpookyCat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
