Obviously, I'm not the only one here who thought that Ariel (as the little mermaid) was nothing but the most self-centred, shallow, empty-headed, little bimbo who ever emerged from out of the deep, blue sea and walked on land. Naturally - To make this story as palatable as possible - Ariel was packaged (deceptively, of course) as being so cute and adorable, and everything nice, on the surface. Yeah. But, in reality - Underneath all that sugar'n'spice stuff, Ariel's utterly contemptible selfishness was neither cute, nor adorable. No way. In fact, it was downright treacherous. I mean - Ariel literally turned her back on all of her "people" and then left them to face, alone, the ugly wrath of the hideously wicked Ursula, just so that she could have a pair of legs in order to (get this!) chase after (and throw herself at) the very first thing that she saw in pants who just happened to have a handsome face..... (Sheesh!... Tsk. Tsk. on Ariel)
