Any romanticized fantasy you may harbor about a brilliant 'Hannibal Lector/Lektor' will be completely dismissed! More often than not, these predators get away with what they do NOT because they are so much smarter, but because the rest of us are so STUPID and INATTENTIVE! The most terrifying aspect of the true`Lektors`? Their cold-blooded, shallow sameness. What they do is not original - it`s their ability to do it without a qualm or a thought.
And they DO think differently from the rest of us. In situations where you and I would panic, thinking "WHATAMIGONNADO? WHATAMIGONNADO?", an `Ed Kemper` doesn`t :because he knows exactly what he going to do. And he does it.

Lots of interesting statistics, as well as essays on things that profilers face by people who do it for a living!
