Not sure if this is a graphic novel or picture book, but whatever it is, I loved reading it. This is a fun-filled adventure story with gorgeous illustrations and lots of action.

This is the first Brownstone's book I read and I was less than impressed. The images don't do much to propel the story forward, and I feel that children who would pick up this story based on size of book, would be deterred from the vocabulary. I found the story itself boring and unimaginative. Snore.

Arthur's adventures were always interesting but they turned dangerous after a monstrous black wolf put out the critically important fire in his small Icelandic town. Shaking, but undaunted, Arthur accepted his fate and saved the town by helping Thor capture the wolf. Colorful images, limited text, and tons of action make this a captivating Norse tale for ages 8-12.
