This problem is real. Beauty is in the eye...which is only a window into the soul/spirit of a little girl... any little girl...not just a black one. Women are continually being sold lies about what is and is not beautiful. The truth about this movie and us all is we, me you, everybody is beautiful in our own ways. What makes us beautiful is what's inside of us, that shines outward, this is what people see who are looking for "real" beauty, not the superficial kind that comes off with cold cream and does not last over the years, in spite of plastic surgery. The movie deals with effects of false images on little black girls who are trying to live up to what is not real. the world is selling white flesh like in every sales pitch you see. The image of white flesh being pasted across every magazine for the sake of profit is flesh peddling. Stop lying to these girls Brittany, Jo low, Beoncy, Twillar, G. Union, Gwen, Madonna about beauty you flesh-peddlers. These are children who are easily influenced by you guys !!! Just stop and be your natural selves for once, no make-up, no bling, no wigs, no nonsense OK. Teach little girls that its OK to just be yourself without the fuss, must, dust, and lust.
