I watched this film mainly because of the comedic timing and appeal of Dwayne Johnson, and even thought the trailers made Kevin Hart (Grudge Match: 2013; Ride Along: 2014) look ok, however it was not very funny nor well written by part screen writer credits by Ike Barinholtz, (Neighbors: 2014; Suicide Squad: 2016; The Mindy Project-tv).
Although it did have a few mildly funny parts, it was largely humourless, and found Kevin Hart to be ever so annoying as before. Dwayne Johnson (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle:2017; Rampage: 2018) was as good as usual, and mildly interested with some of the other bit players, such a Danielle Nicolete (The Flash: tv), Jason Bateman (Arrested Developement: tv), Melissa McCarthy (Spy: 2015; The Boss: 2016), and Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick: 2017).
The fight scenes are an example of the typical multi-edited segments put together, rather than the long shots used more effectively in a recent film such as Platinum Blonde.
Although my partner and I did stick it out, we found that this was not really worthwhile.
This Blue-ray disc provided a theatrical version and an unrated version, we chose to watch the theatrical version.

Very high school locker room humor,waste of D.Johnson's comic humor ability.A couple of stupid demoralizing scenes.Recommend only early college boys,who drink a lot of beer and are immature.No stars.

Funny, but sometimes R-rated jokes and scenes. Should be rated R.

Good movie, I love the scene where they slap each other. The outtakes are hilarious.

This made me laugh a bunch.

Fairly standard fare as modern comedies go but enjoyable. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson does have a flair for comedy. Personally, I thought he was at his funniest in the Get Smart remake of a few years ago.

I wasn't very impressed with this movie. It had a couple of funny parts but for the most part it lost my interest. I enjoyed the outtakes more than the actual movie.

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart nail it in this action packed comedy.

Some quotes in IMDb, but not these as of this morning:

I worked out 6 hours every day for 20 years. Anyone can do it.
===
Honey, black people don't go to therapy. We go to barbershops. That's where we talk out our problems. Or we watch the movie Barbershop. One or the other.
===
I mean, you guys are like a power couple, dude!
-No, no.
Yes! You're like Taylor Swift and whoever she's dating right now.
===
Being the hero of your own story isn't about stopping bad guys or climbing mountains. It's about overcoming bullies in your life, whatever or whomever they may be. It's about putting it all out there for everyone to see. And it's realizing that, in life, the most important thing that you can be is yourself.
