The day a high school student is found unresponsive in class, teacher Sadie Thompson realizes how entrenched a prescription drug ring is in her school. She becomes involved with Ethan Stone, a Texas Ranger who suspects the drug ring reaches far beyond the high school. When one student dies from the apparent mixing of various prescription drugs-- an apparent suicide-- they find themselves in a desperate race to stop the abuse.

This book shows the terrible consequences for individuals and families when they turn to drugs - prescription or otherwise. I am sure there are many communities across the country who have experienced 'pill parties" and how difficult it is for law enforcement to get trust from young people. This book was a great read, however, I think there should have been an epilogue to tie all the loose ends together it seemed to end rather abruptly.
