Eat Like You Give A F*ck

Thug Kitchen started their wildly popular web site to inspire people to eat some Goddamn vegetables and adopt a healthier lifestyle. Beloved by Gwyneth Paltrow ("This might be my favorite thing ever") and named Saveur's Best New Food Blog of 2013 -- with half a million Facebook fans and counting -- Thug Kitchen wants to show everyone how to take charge of their plates and cook up some real f*cking food.

Yeah, plenty of blogs and cookbooks preach about how to eat more kale, why ginger fights inflammation, and how to cook with microgreens and nettles. But they are dull or pretentious as hell -- and most people can't afford the hype.

Thug Kitchen lives in the real world. In their first cookbook, they're throwing down more than 100 recipes for their best-loved meals, snacks, and sides for beginning cooks to home chefs. (Roasted Beer and Lime Cauliflower Tacos? Pumpkin Chili? Grilled Peach Salsa? Believe that sh*t.) Plus they're going to arm you with all the info and techniques you need to shop on a budget and go and kick a bunch of ass on your own.

This book is an invitation to everyone who wants to do better to elevate their kitchen game. No more ketchup and pizza counting as vegetables. No more drive-thru lines. No more avoiding the produce corner of the supermarket. Sh*t is about to get real.

One of the funniest and profane cookbooks I have ever read. Haven't been disappointed by a recipe yet!

This was the funniest read and the best way to learn to cook!

This cookbook does included a fair amount of swearing in it, but as another commenter mentioned, that is part of the schtick. This cookbook is all about making healthy cooking accessible to anyone and everyone. The recipes are tasty, straightforward, uncomplicated, full of vegetables.

This book is a great choice for anyone who is a bit uneasy in the kitchen to those who are perfectly comfortable.

Yes there is a lot of unnecessary language in the book, but that is their "thing".
The book stemmed from a website.
The recipes are wonderful, all vegetarian and easy to follow, simple ingredients and best of all tasty. I really liked the "Basics" and "Dropping Knowledge" intros to some of the chapters. I borrowed this book and immediately put it on my must list!

There are some pretty good recipes in here but the use of profanity grew tiresome and distracting. I didn't finish browsing, which for me and recipes, is rare. Be yourself but understand that if you want to sell your ideas and your work, know your audience is diminished because of a communication style not appreciated by some.

The swearing doesn't do much for me, but several of the recipes (two of the salsas, baked tofu, and dry cooked tofu) have become staples in our house. And I like the pictures and font. :)

I just checked out couple of recipes in this cookbook, and got so distracted by the swear words that I gave up reading it.

Entertaining. Clever and funny in some parts. May try one or two of the recipes. I tend to think of myself as a pretty informed shopper/eater, but it gave me a few things to ponder. Definitely would not want my young kids to read it but I laughed aloud quite a bit while browsing through it.

This is a book that is definitely not worth a purchase. Too much unnecessary verbal diarrhea makes the reading unsavory. This bad taste then reflects onto the recipes, making them unattractive. There are so many good cookbooks out there, don't waste your time with this one.
