A very well rounded ending to a very well written story of chaotic survival. All the characters that we've seen struggle and grow finally get the redemption (or somewhat) of what they deserve. I won't lie, it is a tragic happy ending, but happy none the less. I mean, what else is there to expect from this dark and gory story?
As a side note: If you're this far in the series you should know about the explicit content by now... You've been warned.

kindof feel let down with how this series ended. i read each book eagerly with baited breath to find out what happened next. but this book was different. i just didn't like it. cant really say why, but it disappointed me.

You should know I've only read this last, sixth book in the Gone series, and none of the rest of the series. A reading project I'm working on required me to read this volume, and I probably should have read the rest of the series first, but I was in a hurry to continue the project. The point is, even without reading the other five books first, I still really enjoyed this.

I'm a big fan of a well-written dystopian novel, and this was very well-written. I'm also a fan of stories featuring kids with mutant powers. (My favorite parts of the X-Men books are the stories that show the kids learning about their powers - and just learning to be kids as well.) And the part of this story I really liked was showing how the kids of the FAYZ dealt with all the problems that arose, without the help (or interference) of adults.

This book was a great way to end the series. I really loved all the books. There were...... strange bits, mostly in the book before, but still really good. I really think if the FAYZ had only adults, things would go terribly. Again, really great book, so please read this if you haven't already.

This was an amazing, thrilling conclusion to the series. I gasped, (almost) cried, and was shocked from beginning to end.
Sad the series is over, but it had a very good, nice long run.

Light is the only book in the series with a title that has a positive connotation. Ironically, it is also the only book where extreme mass murder occurs. The fear that was injected into many kids before is now a major part of their lives. As they could die any moment, and as the series is concluding with this book, many new discoveries as well as extremely exciting events spark all over the series. This is arguably the most intensive, dark book in the series with enormous moral decisions to be made as well as the various personalities of the villains and protagonists themselves. However, this can also arguable be the most liberating book as well from this overall theme of the Gone series with more realistic ideas such as the law or a person’s personality changing their decisions, as well as moments being much more exciting those of previous books. The ending of the entire series is excellent and gives an extremely satisfying conclusion. 5/5, for everything an epic finale that fits with the series should have.

Light is the sixth and final book of the Gone Series. In Light, the dome surrounding Perdido Beach becomes transparent allowing the outside world to see what has happened inside the FAYZ. This book did an excellent job showing how far the kids of Perdido Beach have come since the first book, by comparing life outside and inside the dome due to the now transparent forcefield. As a series finally, this book did a great job wrapping up a great series. The climax the series has led up to is satisfying and handled very well, and all of the story arches meet a fulfilling conclusion. Light is an amazing end to an amazing series. 5/5 Stars

It actually took me a while to read this book. Not because it was particularly boring or anything but there was a lot of beating around the bush, and unnecessary subtopics. I think it is because the author incorporated so many characters that it distracted a bit from the main protagonists and antagonists. The ending still confuses me to this day. How does everyone end up doing after everything? In general, this series was a nice ride but I think it kind of sloped a bit downhill after the second book. At least now, I'm finally done it!

Incredible ending to an astonishing series!!! I was so upset for it to be over, and I'm soo not ready to leave the FAYZ universe, but this book was amazing. My only complaint is that the love of my life died at the end ;( *cries*

The end of the FAYZ is near. The wall has become transparent and the Darkness has been reborn.

Each page was full of emotion, action, sacrifice, and suspense. You'll be smiling and laughing, and then in tears a few pages later. Lets just say, don't expect all your favorite characters to survive.

This was an awesome series finale. Michael Grant ties up every loose end and answers every question that was raised during the series. He takes time at the end to give complete closure to the story.
Highly recommend.

Light – Book six in the Gone Novel Series; another excellent book! I was very reluctant to finish this last book, I simply loved this series. For those considering reading the Gone Series, the six books in the series are: Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear, and Light. These are teen rated books, not recommended for juvenile readers. If you enjoyed these books, I encourage my contemporaries to read Charlie Higson’s The Enemy Book Series starting with ‘The Enemy.’ You will not be disappointed. Doctor-at-Bass! Taylor. A.
