LOVE this libro! And the name of the burros (And the book) is so so clever. It made our whole family laugh. The illustrations are colorful and inviting, and even allow you to look for hidden figures! And I love that it's based on a true story of giving what you have so much of, in this instance, books. Such a great read for kids. I highly recommend, especially if you are trying to include diversity in your child's life.

Luis Sorriano is such an inspiring person and his work of sharing books with disadvantaged communities in Colombia is fantastic. This book is an adorable way to pay tribute to him and teach children both the power of sharing and the power of reading. The clever names of his 'burros' made me giggle.

Based on a true story from the hills of Columbia, our family of emergent readers loved this tale. The poor main character is beset with an issue common to our household – too many books! What follows is a fun adventure, with engaging illustrations.

I love this book -- the pictures are great and the true story is wonderful and it teaches an important lesson without being didactic. Warms my heart. Everyone should read it, especially anyone in Library Service or starting School.
