"Lucy Houston and Mickey Chandler probably shouldn't have fallen in love, let alone gotten married. They're both plagued with faulty genes-he has bipolar disorder; she, a ravaging family history of breast cancer. But when their paths cross on the night of Lucy's twenty-first birthday, sparks fly, and there's no denying their chemistry. Cautious every step of the way, they are determined to make their relationship work-and they put their commitment in writing. Mickey will take his medication. Lucy won't blame him for what is beyond his control. He promises honesty. She promises patience. Like any marriage, there are good days and bad days-and some very bad days. In dealing with their unique challenges, they make the heartbreaking decision not to have children. But when Lucy shows up for a routine physical just shy of their eleventh anniversary, she gets an impossible surprise that changes everything. Everything. Suddenly, all their rules are thrown out the window, and the two of them must redefine what love really is."--P. 4 of cover.

It is one of those sad sloppy books. It is too difficult to believe. Many will love it, if they are into romance....

I loved this book. It is a sweet and sad and real look at love and life. The relationships felt honest. You root for Lucy and Mickey. You want them to make it.

I enjoyed the book even though I did skim part of the middle. The title was an excellent choice.

I heard this book was amazing but does anyone have a range of what age this book is rated. I know some one you this may be too much of an adult read, for her.

A story that combines the love and strength of family with a story of challenges and tragedy few could imagine. It provides insightful information about bi-polar disorder to the reader. I very much enjoyed the story despite the sadness it contained.

What a beautiful book. Loved it the whole time I read it. There is hope for all of us in our lives, to live with imperfection. I didn't dare read it when my husband was around because he would have thought something was really wrong with me, as I cried alot from the middle of the book until the end!

Lucy and Micky fell in love and married despite their genes: Lucy has a family history of breast cancer and Mickey has bipolar disorder. Without giving away too much what life throws at them next will put their relationship to the test. Although this is a sad book, it is also a beautiful book about love, relationships and family.

This is the most amazing love story. It is told in the man and woman's point of view, I cried a ton while reading this book. I have never filled out a comment but I needed to tell everyone how wonderfully written this book is and you must find the time to read it
