A great Lincoln Lawyer read.

The author brought reality to this book by bringing COVID-19 into the story. The book was attention getting from start to finish. But I hate when authors use their bias either for or against a politician. True the "President's" name…

The best Lincoln Lawyer of all the Lincoln Lawyer novels. Held my attention from the first paragraph. Best court room drama ever!

A page turner from start to end. I could not put the book down.

This latest Mickey Haller book has a great first chapter. That's it. The front of the dust jacket has a quote from The Boston Globe: "Connelly can flat-out tell a story." So can a kid in grade 3. Read the first chapter and then skip to the…

I enjoyed this book because I like legal thrillers that are fast paced with good court room scenes, a crafty plot, and a great MC and supporting cast. Looking forward to the next Mickey Haller.

Connelly went woke.

I read fiction to escape the stress of real life. Did not enjoy the multiple mention of the virus from China, the bias in favor of CNN and trashing a real life President and conservative news outlet. Boring story line too.

I am a big fan of Mickey Haller and I think his point of view 1st person narrative is part of the reason why. This is a fast paced read, with lots of courtroom drama, and enough action to keep the reader turning pages. I recommend this…

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Harry Bosch played a minor part but the story was still great.

I have never really bonded with Mickey Haller. I love Harry Bosch, but his role in this book is so small that I think it was a sales ploy to say this is an edition in his series. I thought the book got off to a good start with the set up…

An OK read. I like Michael Connelly's books, especially Harry Bosch stories but they are all good, his stand alone stories as well as his Jack McVey, Renee b & his Lincoln lawyer but the Lincoln Lawyer ones are my least favourite, apart…

Hang on for a WILD ride! When I first read that Mickey Haller was going to defend himself for murder I thought "Nooo, Mickey!! We all know that a person who represents himself at trial has a fool for a client!!" Ah, but this is Michael…

I found this a very enjoyable book, but not as good as some others by him. Good courtroom dialogue and story. Good to see Harry B back again.

I'm surprised to read all the negative reviews here. I found this Connelly mystery one of his best. I couldn't stop listening (I do audiobooks.) I like his characters too, and courtroom scenes are often satisfying as well. I'm new to…

Certainly not his best. I agree totally with 'stormy1960'

As others have said, this was a disappointing effort from Connelly. The Lincoln Lawyer always thinks a lot of himself, but this time it read like he already knew the story, and was just checking off a bunch of post-it notes on a board as…

This 'Lincoln Lawyer' tale didn't live up to my expectations for a M. Connelly thriller. I found it slow paced and somewhat boring. It does give an excellent scenario of the thrust and parry between the defense & prosecution lawyers as…

This is one of Connelly's best writes and i would have given it 5 stars............... Except for the ending which was cut too short. I simply wanted more. Just read it and you will see my point.

I love Michael Connelly’s books but this one was a disappointment. The story was a lot of build and not a lot of payoff. It also had too much politics and too much current events, in a world where I needed more than ever to escape into…

Wow! A thrilling story. I am a criminal defense paralegal and love non-fiction. A friend told me to read this book and I have to say.. its pretty accurate. If you love a good legal/crime story telling this book is for you!

This book was good and held my interest for the most part. However, I don't like it when an author brings in his political views. Mr. Connelly states that Trump supporters have a “blind loyalty to a cause” and that being a Trump…

Wow! What a story. The larger-than-life Mickey Haller is fighting for his in 'The Law of Innocence'. This is one of Michael Connelly's best. It's shocking, it's timely and most of all, it's riveting. Mickey has lost his swagger and snark…

Just awful. I expected much much better from Connelly. Weak plot. Characters not credible. Disappointing.

Interesting story about the Lincoln Lawyer. Not action filled and some (many?) will find it slow going.
