Apr 19, 2022 Recently binge watched The Godfather trilogy and this film reminds me of how dirty politics can be: Politics and crime, they're the same thing; Vast monies have gone to people in high political places and the Vatican Bank…

A tempered pace slice of life and mafia masterpiece. Marlane Brando and AL pichino steel the show! This is my first time seeing The God Father and it didn't disappoint.

Okay, so 'The Godfather Part 2' is, like, the ultimate mafia masterpiece. It's this epic sequel to the first Godfather movie and it's all about Michael Corleone's rise to power as the new Godfather, while also showing his dad Vito's early…

Excellent portrayal of America in the 50’s. There is so much depth to the story. It is much more than just the role of the mafia. It is about family, loyalties and relationships. It really is a masterpiece of film work.

I want 3 hours of my life back 😭 please forgive me because I'm about to offend a lot of people with this review 💀 first off, I have no idea why this movie is so acclaimed. I had high expectations for this and I was hoping it would be a…

As a disclaimer, for the purposes of this review, I will be talking about the original cut of this movie that came out in 1990. Now I love the first two Godfather movies, but I have to say that this cut of Godfather Part III that came with…

Look, everybody's seen the film, but I want to encourage you to rewatch it with the commentary track by Director Francis Ford Coppola. His delivery of the track on all three films is a very impressive accomplishment. What he has to say is…

The Godfather is a masterpiece of cinema in every sense of the word, from the slow reveal of Don Vito to Michael exacting vengeance during his godson's ceremony, it is fantastic. Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola did a fantastic job…

Going into Godfather and Godfather II, I was pretty sure they were going to be overrated, and I was wrong, and I am thankful for that. These two movies are masterpieces of film. I only detract half a star since I have not seen the infamous…

The worst Godfather movie by far. I have only found incest to benefit one storyline ever, this movie was not that storyline. The first two were absolute masterpieces, while this was a disappointing piece of garbage. The plot was…

Godfather, part III is the Return of the Jedi of the trilogy. Ewoks meet the mob.

Part II, arguably the best of the Godfather trilogy. Not to trivialize it but I've always considered it the Empire Strikes Back of the series. What does that make Godfather III?

What a fantastic film. I heard much about it, but none in my family had seen it before, so when I and they watched it together on our couch it was an experience.

1971 A superbly made classic gangster movie of an Italian immigrant to NYC circa 1910. who rises to power as a Mafia DON and how he "protects" his extended Mafiosa family. A true classic!

IMHO, the first two Godfather installments qualify as all-time great cinema. Maybe some scenes are too long, but even the stretches with little or no dialogue are tense and gripping - sorta' like Kurosawa stuff.

When released in 1972 The Godfather became a cultural sensation comparable to Gone With the Wind in 1939. Many of its famous lines, like, "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse" and "going to the mattresses" became cultural staples.…

Now this was a true 5 star movie, because it had everything. A great story, great acting, great producing and every aspect was terrific. Most movies that are entertaining really should be rated a 3 star, a bit above average a 4 and ones…

This is a rare case where I think the sequel is superior to the original. Pacino's performance is top notch, but De Niro's portrayal of a young Vito Corleone was probably the highlight for me. The parallel stories, the cycles of…
