Like the author Maxine Paetro and her writing. Harder for me to understand the tone of the book since I don't have Catholic background. Really liked the book became clearer for me in the end. Good book!

A little on the edge of predictable. Was emotional at times, a fast read but not overly engaging.

I was truly moved by this book. Started off slow, but I was in tears at one point and that NEVER happens. Women would probably appreciate it more and it helps to have a Roman Catholic background. Strongly suggest folks read it.

OMG what a lot of schmaltz. She is a modern "Jobe" who is tortured, friends are killed child dies, two husbands die and she keeps turning to god for meaning in her suffering. Readers who are secularists will find this apology for women in…

I listened to the audio book and loved it! The person who read the book deserves an award for the emotion and personality she poured into the story! It made the 10 hour road trip fly!

This was such a compelling novel. Once I started it, I couldn't bring myself to put it down. I felt as if I were really there with Brigid as she made this journey of faith through her life. It was extremely relatable, real, and moving. To…

A weird read. Patterson seems to say, "I am a master writer, hear me roar." He has a little something for everyone in this: do-gooder bullshit for the liberal snowflakes who like to pretend to do good, but mostly just talk about it; and…

For a quick, compelling (and heart-wrenching at times) read, this book fits the bill perfectly. The narrator's experiences with God tie the sometimes fragmented narrative together, making the reader wonder what her visions mean and what is…

Another great book by Patterson. I liked his spin and taking off into religion and women's place in it.

This could have been a really great book. The overall plot/theme was ok but there were too many subplots that I didn't think were required.

I was disappointed in the book. I expected more than was given. I would give it a 1 out of 10 for quality and content.

Is there a possibility of a woman being named the next pope......it deals with faith but with twists and page turning chapters........enjoyable......an extremely fast read

This could and should have been an excellent book. The plot idea was perfect for our time and current social climate. Instead, sloppy writing and convoluted plot development turned it into a total confusing mess. The main character is a…

Just a totally depressing first half and does not seem to get better. A real waste of time that is convoluted and nonsensical.

A new low from the Patterson factory. A woman of obviously impaired mentality and her belief in one of the world's major superstitious fictions. It's one tragedy after another, yet the woman's delusions persist despite her pretense of…

Beyond exceptional!!! It took me right in, and away, during the first chapter, and let me go, with the final sentence, to a new beginning...back to where it had all began. There where moments when my heart was broken, and I sobbed; there…
