"Time travel" and "crossovers with series I have never read and never intend to read" are two of my least favorite types of story. And yet, with Squirrel Girl at the helm, I loved both of these. The Marvel-universe-reboot forced the series to start over a bit, so if it feels like there's a hiccup at the start of this volume, it's because all the Marvel series numbers got restarted fresh and this one was part of it. (Hence why this volume collects series "2015B"...because it contains the second #1 issue in 2015. Sigh. Comics renumbering is so weird.)

Regardless, Ryan North and Erica Henderson really rolled with the punches and started their series (again) with a delightful cast of characters (again) and some great plots. PLUS I learned a lot about computer science. Again!

And that's wonderful.

By the time I'd finished this, the third Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comic, I was hooked. I love this character, and her (not always fully-thought-out!) way of dealing with the situations she ends up in. I enjoy seeing the alternate artworks and covers for each of the SG comics, and thoroughly enjoy reading the letters from readers - there are so many SG fans out there, and it is awesome to see them sharing their enjoyment with other readers.

This is my favorite volume so far. Ignoring possible paradox wibbly wobbly timey wimey things. I love Nancy and Squirrel Girl's friendship. I loved their classmates in the 60's. I loved the way they faced down Doctor Doom. It was all great.

I also should say that the art really grew on me. I like it now a lot. I wasn't a fan in the first one. Mainly because of Nancy's character design which I'm still not a fan of. Other designs are good.

The whole part with the Howard The Duck crossover was great too. Doesn't make me really want to actually read Howard the Duck, though. It was a fun plot to follow. I love when Kraven makes appearances.

Squirrel Girl gets send back in time and teams up with old SG from her future to beat Doctor Doom. At times laugh out loud funny.

This volume literally made me laugh out loud. It has time travel, a cover homage to Frank Miller, and gosh-darned Howard the Duck! I loved it. Fast-paced, fun and just so good-spirited.
